Another poem from my old blog: The statue

There she stood,
all alone, as beautiful as the moon,
she shone...
cold and hard she felt,
a joyful smile she held,
somehow, something,
seemed wrong,
but with that face,
she looked so strong...
little did teh world know,
because she never showed,
how her heart felt inside,
as she always had,
a place to hide...
Burdens of the world she felt,
sitting alone every night,
as her heart melts,
waiting by the fountain,
for her knight to come...
All this while,
her knight never came,
to lift off her curse,
for her to become humane...
for now she'll stay hard and cold,
no matter how many seasons unfold,
winter,summer, autumn or spring,
no one can hear her voice,
that sings,
the sorrowful songs of an angel,
with a torn heart and broken wings...
Many have seen her,
sitting all alone,
but none had that special,
heart of gold...
so til that day,
she'll wait,
for her knight to come,
without fail...
crossing seven seas,
and a thousand gates,
to free her from,
her current fate...
the key to her heart,
is yet to be found,
so all you people,
Keep looking around.
